Welcome to The Teaching Lounge. I am so glad you found my
site and I hope you will stay and take a look around. My site is dedicated to
those looking for ideas to use in their classrooms or at home. If you are
looking for those extra new, fresh ideas I hope that you can find them here. If
you are looking for extras to use for practice at home with your child I sure
hope my site will help you. I spent a lot of time last semester writing lesson
plans and searching for some new ideas and I am hoping to make a contribution
to the cycle. I am firm believer that education does not just happen in the
classroom and that family at home is a great contributor to a child’s success
in school.
I am using this site to help me keep a record of my lesson
plans and activities and am hoping to help others as well. On my site you will
find lesson plans, activities for use at home and at school, some art and
crafts and some informational posts or “how to” posts.
ABOUT ME
I worked for 6 years in a special education classroom as a
paraeducator before deciding to go back to school and I will be graduating in
May with my degree in Elementary Education. I have a full year of student
teaching and will be starting my year off in 3rd grade! I have two
children a 6 year and a 3 year that keep me busy along with my wonderful
husband and a strong faith in God!!
